Due to the Omicron variant and increased transmission rates of COVID-19 in the county, Ouray School is now requiring indoor mask wearing for all staff and students.

Ouray School is adding a protective measure for staff and students with weekly serial COVID-19 screening. Utilizing a program from CDPHE for schools, Ouray will offer a rapid antigen test.

Ouray School strongly recommends that all eligible staff and students get the COVID-19 vaccine and the booster when approved and available to age groups. Fully vaccinated now includes the booster for available groups.

CDPHE is sponsoring another county-wide mobile vaccination clinic on January 20, 2022, from 9AM - 3PM at the county fairgrounds. The vaccine is free. Boosters for all vaccines are available as well. Use this link to sign up.

State law requires that schools enforce vaccination requirements. Ouray School will be communicating vaccination needs with families next week and has a deadline of January 24, 2022, to be in compliance with required vaccinations.

The high school theater class will be putting on a show on Thursday, December 9, at 7pm in the school's auditorium, the APAC. It consists of nine short scenes from various works. It’s free and available for general audiences. The students performing have been working very hard these past weeks in preparation.

The Ouray County Sheriff’s Office, Ouray Police Department, and Ridgway Marshal’s Office invite your child to participate in the inaugural Ouray County Law Enforcement Shop with a Cop event!

Thursday, December 16th will be the Ouray MS Choir & MS/HS Band Winter Concert. The concert will take place at Ouray School in the APAC at 6:00PM.
