Ouray School is making progress in filling vacancies for the 2022-23 school year and will announce hires after approval at the April 25 regular meeting of the Board of Education.

Applications are now available for preschool registration for the 2022 - 2023 school year.

Childcare for ages 3 and up will be offered at Ouray School from 5–7:30 pm in the 1st grade room, with pizza dinner and activities! Suggested donation $20.

Students from Ouray School have benefited from the financial assistance from the Mt Sneffles Education Foundation. They ask that we as a school community help man the Mt Sneffles Race that goes on during the summer. Please sign up at https://signup.com/go/bDGseAc.

The Ouray School District R-1 Board of Education announced a vacant seat at its regular meeting on March 21. The board will accept letters of interest until April 18, 2022, and interview candidates at a Special Meeting on April 21, 2022.

Students will take the PSAT-9, PSAT-10, and SAT (11th graders) on Wednesday, April 13th.

The majority of Ouray School will be participating in state testing requirements on Wednesday, April 13. Seniors have completed these and met all of the English and math required testing standards in order to graduate and will not attend school on this day.

Ouray School is launching a new student internet safety tool over spring break called Gaggle. This tool screens Google Mail and Docs for concerning content and alerts counselors and administrators.
