Dear Ouray Community,
Welcome to the end of an incredibly successful year. Ouray School was please to support a year of in-person learning with most of the benefits and additional opportunities that schools provide students and the community. It was FANTASTIC to see happy, smiling faces of our audience members at Pee Wee basketball, spring concerts, and the annual Booster athletic banquet in recent weeks.
The Ouray community can be proud of our academic achievement, athletic achievement, and community service. Ouray students showed strong achievement and growth on district interim assessments, and state assessment performance data available to date is strong. Ouray School sent four groups to state competitions this year: cross country, golf, FBLA, and Track & Field. Congratulations to strong finishes for all including two state champion relay teams in track. Our students continue to serve our community, from kindergarten students advocating to the city for a new park slide to FBL managing flags and high school students working on trail maintenance.
In annual surveys, parents, students, and staff agree: Ouray School is safe place to work and go to school. The school community is trained to report issues, and administration treats every need seriously. The 2016 Bond project added standard school security to Ouray School with double door entrances and vestibules. Visitors are not allowed in without prior appointment. The school's partnership with local law enforcement for training and communication has strengthened since the pandemic segmented community resources.

End of Year BBQ 6/3/22
Come kick off summer break with FREE lunch & dessert in the Cafeteria and gather outside the school, starting at 11:00AM. All students, staff and families are welcome! School transportation for the last day will depart at 12:00PM.
