Excused absences are primarily for illness and school activities, but Ouray School understands that occassionally families need time to be gone from school for more than one consecutive day. The goal of prearranging an absence is to support students and families while gone and for return to school.

Family-to-Family class starting January 18th
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) San Miguel & Ouray Affiliate and will be hosting a Family-to-Family class starting January 18th, in person at the Ouray 4H Event Center with a virtual option. The class will occur weekly on Thursday evenings from 6pm-8pm and run for 8 weeks.
