Dear Ouray Community,
As we approach the start of the school year, I wanted to connect on a few key topics with this August newsletter. We have a lot to be excited for with the start of the new school year. First, I am excited about the talented staff that we have been able to attract to fill very important positions. Second, we are revitializing our high school girls volleyball program, supported by a strong and expanding middle school sports program with dedicated coaches. Cross country is also starting for middle and high school (still combined with Ridgway and Silverton), and I want to encourage any student who is interested to come out and run with the school.
On short notice, we are advertising for our middle school cross country coach. Please connect with the administration by Monday, if interested, and we will fill the position as soon as possible. Practice will take place on Monday, August 8.

Ouray School will host its back to school Open House for all schools and all grade levels on the afternoon/evening of Thursday, August 25, from 4:30PM to 6:00PM.
