The Ouray School District R-1 Board of Education approved a revision to the current school year calendar to support elementary teacher professional development as well as a resolution in opposition of Amendment 80 on this fall's ballot. They also accepted a new quarterly financial summary format.

All students, staff, and parents with cell phone numbers in our student information system are asked to opt in to a new district communication tool that will add cellular SMS messages for emergency alerts. Text YES to 79041today!

Ouray School will be collaborating with the Ouray Police and Sherriff Departments in a school lockdown drill on Wednesday, October 30. The drill will be pre-announced and coached, and there will be no active shooter scenarios. Read more to learn about the school's Standard Response Protocol and school safety.
