Both Ouray and Ridgway high school are excited to host an early season tournament. The San Juan Mountain Madness tournament will bring schools from around the state and region. The purpose of this tournament is to bring small schools to the western slope for quality competition. Along with the two host schools, we are excited to have Olathe HS (CO), De Beque HS (CO), West Grand HS (CO), Monticello HS (UT), and Grand County HS (UT).
Ouray will host the boys side of the tournament bracket, while Ridgway will host the girls side. The format will be pool play, followed by a cross bracket game. The championship game will be played Saturday at 1pm.
The games at both sites will be streamed on NFHS Network.
