All Ouray School coaches are paid a stipend at the successful completion of the season and completion of all required duties. The 2023-24 school year pays $2800.
Organizational meeting for the 2024 track season begins in mid February. First practice determined by CHSAA (still TBD).
Ouray School is looking to hire a high school Track and Field coach for the spring 2024 season. Ouray is seeking a new leader for a program that successfully combines the athletic talents and participation from Ouray, Ridgway, and Silverton schools.
Qualified candidates will possess the following
* Experience in and passion for coaching young athletes
* Experience coaching track and field programs (preferred)
* Experience as a track and field participant
* Communication and organizational skills for working with multiple schools, parents, and athletes
The selected candidate must also complete the following
* Colorado Bureau of Investigation background check
* First Aid/CPR Training
* CHSAA coach training
* District on-boarding course including Mandatory Reporter and Adult Misconduct trainings
* District small vehicle training course (annual)
