Ouray School invites you to a community engagement session to help build a graduate profile for Ouray School District. The graduate profile is a document that describes the knowledge, skills, and dispositions that we want all of our students to have when they graduate from high school. Ouray will be talking about learners of all levels and will call this our Portrait of a Learner.
The engagement sessions will be held on August 22 (Citizen State Bank), September 6 (Beaumont Hotel), and September 13 (Ouray Community Center) at 6:00PM. We will be discussing the following questions:
- What are the essential knowledge, skills, and dispositions that all Ouray students should have when they graduate from high school?
- How can we ensure that all of our students have the opportunity to develop these skills and dispositions?
- What are the challenges and opportunities that we face in preparing our students for success in college, career, and life?
We want to hear from as many community members as possible, so please come and share your thoughts. There will be no pressure to participate, but we hope that you will join us in this important conversation.
The engagement session will be facilitated by Bree Rosenblum, an active member of the District Advisory and Accountability Committee. Bree has extensive experience working with facilitating creative brainstorming sessions.
Light refreshments will be served. Thank you for your time and consideration.
