Dear Parents,
At November's Board of Education meeting the directors voted to amend the 2022-2023 academic calendar. Students in grades K-4 will not have school on February 8-10. PreK and grades 5-12 will have class as scheduled. This change was to accommodate our literacy teachers so they can attend the CCIRA conference in Denver. CCIRA is a literacy conference aimed at improving reading practice and assessment. We are excited about the opportunity to attend this valuable learning experience once again as a staff. Thank you to the Board of Education, administration, and the Mt. Sneffels Education Foundation for their support in making this happen.
We know the difficulties many families experience when school is not in session. We are currently working with Voyager to provide free daycare on February 8th and 9th to help support families' childcare needs. However, space will be limited. I will be sending additional information regarding Voyager as the date approaches.
