We have made it to the 4th quarter!!! I cannot believe we are already approaching the end of the school year. I am so proud of what we have accomplished so far and look forward to finishing strong. As a reminder as we finish out the school year, I want to keep our arrival and dismissal procedures in the forefront of everyone's mind. Safety is always a priority to the Ouray staff and community. To keep everyone safe, I want us to remember that:
- We want the traffic pattern to be routine and predictable for our students. This is why we ask that traffic flow one direction on 7th Avenue. The easiest way to remember this is up the street to school (East) and down the street home (West).
- In the spirit of efficiency and time we ask that parents do not get out of their car if you are in the car line. If you would like to get out or chat with your student's teacher we invite you to park and come join us.
- Finally, if students are being picked up we want them to either be received by their parent/guardian/etc. either in person on the sidewalk area in front of the school or on 7th Ave. by car. This will keep students from walking between parked cars into the roadways.
