PATT

Parents and Teachers Together logoParents and Teachers Together (PATT) of Ouray School exists to enhance the experience of students by supporting teachers, providing community-building events, and assisting in student fundraising efforts. In order to fulfill our mission, we rely on willing volunteers invested in making Ouray School a better place to be.

OBJ 1: Teacher Support
We strive to support teachers in ways that are meaningful to them. Examples include:
  • Serving meals during Presentations of Learning
  • Providing reimbursement for classroom supplies
  • Focusing on all the work they do through Staff Appreciation Week
OBJ 2: Community-Building Events
We aim to build an inclusive community among families, teachers, and community members by providing opportunities for socializing, developing friendships, creating connections, and helping each other. Examples include:
  • Family game nights
  • Carnivals
  • Pasta bar community dinner
  • Clothing swaps
OBJ 3: Student Funding Support
We seek to provide enrichment opportunities for students throughout their educational experience by supporting their efforts to participate in school-organized group trips through fundraising opportunities. Examples include:
  • Ouray Mountain Trail Run (OMTR) grants for outdoor activities
  • Concession supplies at no cost
PRIMARY FUNDRAISING EFFORTS
In order to meet our objectives, we raise the necessary funds through community events. This relieves the burden on student families by focusing fundraising efforts on the local community which helps the community to feel invested in and show support for the school. To maximize efficiencies and effectiveness, our goal is to host fewer higher-grossing events rather than several smaller-grossing events. Our fundraisers include:
  • Ouray Mountain Trail Run (OMTR)
  • Pasta Bar Community Dinner
  • Parents’ Night Out

Monthly Meetings
